Firstly I’m most pleased to be able to provide this reference for EME.
I have had the good fortune of consistently working with them for some seventeen months. This is not to say that other electrical & mechanical subcontractors have not featured on the projects I have been involved with.
The projects we have worked together on have comprised Empa Framework including Design & Build, for the following local authorities:
- Leicester City - schools & colleges
- Leicestershire County - schools
- Derby City - function suite
- Nottingham City - schools
- Nottinghamshire County - schools
- Bassetlaw District - business units
They have consistently supported & been proactive to our:
- Estimating & design and build teams respectably - timely provision of tenders (and value engineering for the benefit of our clients budgetary need) and their own design work
- Site team - timely provision of programme information and suggestions to speed the build, together with a consistent and commensurate labour recourse. Also, the provision of a site foreman and a regularly visiting contracts manager and prompt attention to remedying any snagging items.
- Quantity surveyor - timely provision of valuations and costing’s for variation and additional works.
- Clients team - ever present willingness to join with us on site to meet with the client’s team to discuss any aspect of the build.
- Building manual team - timely provision of their operating and maintenance manuals, as fitted-drawings etc.
In summary, I have no hesitation in vouching for them.
Nigel J Herrington
Contracts Manager at Ashe Construction Ltd
I have worked with EME ltd on a number of projects over the pasts few years, and currently on site with them at Rutland street 'Makers Yard' (a creative business workspace.)
I have found EME very professional, responsive and always seem willing to help resolve any challenge the construction industry throws up over the life of a project.
The site, and office staff have a very good attitude to work in general and are very client outcome driven.
I would recommend them to any other client and consider them on any future scheme I am asked to Project Manage.
Leicester City Council
I confirm EME has worked with E&B Group Ltd for the past two years very successfully, without incident or accident and completing works to a diligent and high standard. Their technical knowledge has proved invaluable on critical works and their non-adversarial approach to getting the job done is refreshing. We have not encountered any contractual or commercial dispute with them and their resource from Directors to charge hands are all very amiable, courteous and hard working.
I look forward to my next project with them, having utilised their services on two major projects with a value to EME circa £1.5M, and I have no hesitance in offering my personal reference and recommendation to utilising EME.

Director at E&B Group Ltd
Morgan Sindall have worked closely with EME for the duration of this project and also during the preconstruction stage. We have found them to be very helpful and hardworking in there approach to dealing with challenges and coming up with solutions that we have had to face. EME are also helpful in relation to Value Engineering to achieve cost savings for the client and the contractor.
The quality of the work is of a good standard and the operatives are keen to make sure that there works are co-ordinated not only with the Mechanical and Electrical disciplines but also the other trades that inevitably have to work in and around their services.
Overall their approach to any situation is positive and We have found Lea Kane and Richard to be approachable, professional and knowledgeable about their trade. This standard of service is why we have entered them into our supply chain at Morgan Sindall.

BPW Limited has used EME for both primary and secondary electrical and mechanical installations over the past two years. This work has also included repairs to existing infrastructure within both of our operating sites in Leicester.
We have been more than satisfied with the standard of workmanship and overall approach to both current projects and those already completed.
From initial consultation, through to final sign off and after sales support we have not found them to be wanting.
Engineering Manager at BPW Limited
I am currently working with EME on a number of projects and have also worked with them successfully for a number of years. I have always found them to be professional and user friendly.
I would consider them to be extremely diligent in the following:
- Total involvement in the team to successfully deliver the project on time and within budget.
- Explore value engineering without compromising quality and programme.
- Non contractual.
- Outstanding quality of workmanship.
- Delivery of documentation.
We as a company will continue to maintain our relationship with this company for future projects due to the success we have experienced and I would strongly recommend them to any other main contractor.
